My Easter Weekend (my weekend series)

Tuesday 3 April 2018

I haven’t done a weekend series for a while and thought the long Easter weekend would be a perfect time to pick it up again. It's been a lovely and relaxing weekend, which I spent at home in Stockholm.

Good Friday I had to go into work for a little bit, but then I and Stephen went for a nice Indian meal at Indian Curry House. We then just relaxed for rest of the day. I’ve been so busy lately and was nice to take it easy and not planning too much.

I love a long relaxing weekend because it gives me time to exercise more, having big hearty breakfasts and get things done that I’ve been meaning to do for a while. It’s been such a sunny weekend. Spring might just be around the corner. I sure hope so.

Saturday I went for a massage at Salong Dingo, which was long overdue. I’ve been feeling tense in my shoulder and neck for a while. So it was amazing to finally get a back massage. Salong Dingo is such a lovely salon with a homely vibe. It was recommended to me by one of my regular clients.

I then spent the afternoon replanting some of my plants and sowing some seeds for the summer. Some of the things I planted were chilli’s, tomatoes and peppers. I’m already looking at the pots every day in expectation to see something growing.

Easter Sunday we went to church and then had lunch with some friends.

It was yet another chill out day with a long relaxing bath. I’ve been using so many wonderful products recently. Gröna Gredelina’s bath salts is a favourite of mine. The scent of cherry blossoms is just amazing. I took the opportunity to try a new face mask from True organic of Sweden called Sea Me Mask. The first impression is good. First, it almost burned but then it calmed down and my skin felt amazing afterwards. I then used a new favourite facial oil from Barr Sweden called Secret forest. It’s such a gorgeous product, just as all the other products from Barr. It smells lovely and it’s a pure pleasure to apply it. The packaging is pretty too.

As we’re on the topic of Barr. I thought I take the time to mention their Multivitamin face cream as well. I’ve been using their face cream and facial oil for a few weeks now and both are just as lovely. My skin loves them and it’s been great even in this cold winter weather. When is the spring ever going to arrive? Even the cream has such a pretty packaging and is Barr’s newest edition. I have so much love for this brand. Check out my review of their body oils here

I also got a chance to finish a book. Hannah Sjöström, the Swedish green beauty guru from Naturligt Snygg,  recently published her second book Hello Glow. It’s a guide on how to get that inner glow and how to look after yourself. It’s full of great tips and a beautiful read.

Monday I decided to get productive and finally get back to my YouTube. It’s been such a long time and I finally felt ready and creative enough to get back into it. I ended up filming four videos. Now I just need to edit and they’ll be up and running. Make sure you’re subscribed to my channel

It’s great to have a long weekend once in a while and as being self-employed, I try to treat myself with one once in a while.

Hope you had an amazing Easter weekend. What did you get up to?
