My Self-care Sunday routine

Sunday 29 April 2018

Sunday evenings are for self-care and getting ready for the week ahead. Sunday evening is normally my time for a long relaxing bath. It helps me to relax and a great time for some pampering. And what better way of having self-care than using only natural, organic and cruelty-free products.

Firstly I get my bath ready. I choose a bath product. Some of my favourites are the green bath potion from MOA or even their bath soak. You can read my review of them here. But today I chose the GK natural creations bath bomb. The one I chose today is with lavender to relax me for getting in the mood for rest of the evening.

Whilst the water is filling up I get all the other things ready. I might pour a glass of wine, get my book. At the moment I’m reading Swing time by Zadie Smith with my book club.

I also make sure I cleanse my face before I jump into the bath I use my Mossa micellar water and Dr Botanicals coffee superfood exfoliator.  The coffee exfoliator is new to me and came with the last LoveLula beauty box. It smells like mocha cappuccino and is wonderful on my skin.

I lay out my products for my pampering. My choice of a face mask. I’ve so many face-masks at the moment and might do a blog post on them soon. Today’s choice is Madara SOS hydra mask. Which is great when the skin feels dehydrated and need some extra TLC.

I pick a hair oil if it’s a day for washing my hair. This evening I decided to apply if whilst in the bath and leave it in overnight and wash it out the next morning. I chose Isla Apothecary nourishing hair & scalp oilIt’s a great treatment for dry scalp and I definitely felt a difference on my scalp when I’ve used it. Isla Apothecary is such a lovely brand and not a single product of theirs has let me down. They do some lovely bath salts and scrubs too.

A great way to relax even more is to set the mood with some music and candles and then just enjoy.

After the bath, I chose Botanicals neroli body balm for moisturising my body. It’s such a wonderful balm and easily absorbs into the skin and keeps it smooth and soft. It has a lovely fresh scent too. For my face, I use one of my many wonderful face oils. Today I chose Lyonsleaf marshmallow facial oil. Their oil is as wonderful as their balms and if you haven’t tried any of their products you just have to try to find out how wonderful they are.

After my self-care time, I slip into something super comfy and snuggle up in front of the tv or with a good book and just forget about the fact it might be time for work the next day.

What’s your Sunday evening routine?
