5 reasons to why you should choose soy wax candles

It's autumn and the season for cosy up on the sofa with a warm cup of tea and some lit candles. I thought I would share some of my favourite soy wax candles. But first, let me share with you 5 reasons why you should choose soy candles. 

Det är höst och säsong för mysa på soffan med en kopp te och tända ljus. Jag tänkte dela med mig av mina favorit sojavax ljus. Men först vill jag ge 5 anledningar till varför du ska välja sojaljus. 

1. Soy candles are natural 

As they're made from vegetable oil (soybeans). Paraffin candles are made from petroleum oil. Which means soy wax candles doesn't increase the co2 level in the atmosphere like paraffin candles do. 

Sojaljus är naturliga. Eftersom de är gjorda på vegetarisk olja (sojabönor). Paraffinljus kommer från petroleum olja. Vilket betyder att sojavax ljus inte ökar co2 nivån i atmosfären som paraffinljus gör. 

2. Soy candles burn 50% longer

Even though soy wax candles are often more expensive than paraffin wax candles, they're still more cost-effective in the long run.

Sojaljus brinner 50% längre. Även om Sojaljus ofta är dyrare än paraffinljus, är de ändå mindre kostsamma på lång sikt. 

3. Soy candles burn cleaner

They don't produce much black soot like the paraffin wax candles do. If you burn a lot of candles it can overtime discolour your walls and furniture. Soy wax candles are also easier to clean up if spilt. 

Sojaljus brinner renare. De producerar inte mycket svart sot som paraffinljus gör. Om du bränner många ljus kan det med tiden förstöra färgen på väggar och tak. Sojaljus är även lättare att städa upp efter om det spillt. 

4. Soy candles are non-toxic 

Soy wax candles are much healthier compared to paraffin candles, as they're made of vegetable oil. They have a lower melting point (so the wax itself doesn't get as hot), produces a negligible amount of soot and release no known carcinogens into the air. 

Sojaljus är inte giftiga

Sojaljus är mycket mer hälsosamma i jämförelse med paraffinljus, eftersom de är gjorda på vegetarisk olja. De har en lägre smältpunkt (så vaxet blir inte lika varmt), producerar försumbar mängd sot och släpper inte ut några kända carcinogener i luften. 

5. Soy candles gives a stronger and more pleasant scent

Because of the lower melting point of soy wax, there is a larger amount of the liquid wax pool around the candle wick itself. It is from this that the essential oils evaporate into the atmosphere. 

Sojaljus ger en kraftigare och mer behaglig doft. På grund av den lägre smältpunkten på sojavax, är det en större del av den flytande vaxpoolen runt veken. Det är från där de eteriska oljorna avdunstas i atmosfären.

JOIK - hot chocolate

Another one of my favourites is the cinnamon bun. It makes my flat smell of freshly baked cinnamon buns. I also ordered gingerbread which is perfect for closer to Christmas time.

I love the scent of cinnamon in the autumn and this is a lovely scent. PHB has lots of great candles. They come with a lid, which makes them great to bring with on travels. 

Jag älskar doften av kanel på hösten och detta är en underbar doft. PHB har många fantastiska ljus. De kommer med lock, vilket är perfekt för att ta med på resor.

The handmade soap co candles have very fresh and natural scents, which I prefer to light up when I just want a fresh scent in my flat (or not constantly get tempted to have hot chocolate).

The handmade soap co ljus har väldigt fräscha och naturliga dofter, vilket jag föredrar att tända när jag bara vill ha en fräsch doft i lägenheten (eller inte konstant bli frestad att ha en varm choklad).
