Review | Body Bazar

The Swedish brand Body Bazar has managed to capture Morocco in a bottle. I’ve been trying their black soap and argan oil and it has brought me back to my trip to Marrakech last year. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous with their black frosted glass bottles and cool design. The black soap actually smells like Marrakech. It reminded me of going to the Haman and being scrubbed with their black soap and then being massaged with their argan oil.

The products are good quality and a feel of luxury that captured Moroccan beauty so well. They’re all of course vegan and organic. Let’s look at the products a bit closer.

Black soap

Black soap or Dudu Odin is based on a traditional recipe from Ghana in Western Africa. It’s deep cleansing and mildly exfoliating and is great to combat acne and scars. It removes dead skin cells and gives a firm, leaner and glowing skin.

Body Bazar’s black soap formula is a combination of cacao ash and roasted plantain skin and raw Shea butter.

I got to use black soap for the first time in Morocco and it brings back memories every time I use it in the shower now. It’s not only good as a shower gel but great for removing makeup and apparently as a shaving soap (yet to test that out).

The scent is very aromatic which I enjoy and the bottle is just so gorgeous to have in your bathroom.

Argan oil

Anyone who knows me or has followed my blog for a while knows that I’m slightly obsessed with argan oil. I get very excited when I find a good one. I could tell from the first use or even smell that Body Bazar is good quality argan. Argan oil or Moroccan gold as it’s also called is good for so many things. Body, face and hair. I visited an Argan oil cooperative when I was in Morocco and it’s fascinating to see them producing the oil.

I use Argan as a face-oil, body moisturiser, hair serum and hair treatment. It’s rich in vitamin E and makes the skin feel amazing and the hair gets silky soft. My hair has for the last few years grown at a crazy fast speed and I’m convinced it’s because I do weekly hair treatments with Argan overnight. It’s an oil I can’t live without.

I’m totally sold on Body Bazar and can’t wait to try more of their products and would definitely buy the Argan oil and black soap again.
