My Christmassy weekend in London

Tuesday 5 December 2017

This weekend I went to London, yes London baby! Nothing makes me happier than a quick trip to my favourite city in the world. After living in London for 12 years it’s still a big part of who I am. I was so excited to squeeze in a trip just before Christmas to see all the lights and get into the spirit of things.

I arrived Friday evening with some minor delays and decided to have a quiet evening with some takeaway from my favourite Indian restaurant, Gandhis

Saturday started early with a couple of my clients that I still do when in London. I’ve been doing their hair since I started hairdressing and it’s a privilege to be able to still continue even though I’m in a different country. It also helps to pay for my regular trips, which is great.

I then met up with some old colleagues for dinner. We went for some food and drinks. It’s great to catch up with old friends and just have a good laugh together.

Sunday was the big day where I managed to get a whole bunch of the wonderful green beauty ladies together. I managed to get a table in the new Ping Pong in Covent Garden. It’s a bit hidden away on Maiden Lane so not as busy as the other of their venues. We had the Merry treat set menu. They have both a veggie and a meat version and we managed to get a vegan version for us vegans too. Food was yummy as always.

All the girls were also spoiled with a little goodie bag from Bare Origin. An early Christmas treat.

Afterwards, I and Besma from Curiously Conscious walked around taking pictures of all the Christmas lights. It’s one of my favourite things to do before Christmas to get into the spirit of it all.

I then had a later dinner at Rossopomodoro, an Italian Restaurant in Covent Garden and then caught up with some more friends.

I spent a lot of time just walking around and just enjoy being in London. There are so many picturesque streets and I love taking it all it. I also did a bit of shopping of course. Picking up bits and bobs that I miss from my time in London and just can’t live without.

Monday morning I finished off my trip with going for a massage at Relax in Covent Garden. A perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
